Our netball teams have been busy competing against teams from around the country. From regional champions to national finalists, there has been plenty to celebrate.

Junior School Under 11 into National Final

Our Under 11s achieved a superb result as our Year 6 Netball Team win the semi-final of the national netball Sisters n Sport competition this week beating Bedford Girls School 22-9 to progress to the final against Putney High School. This is a significant achievement given the level of competition and the final will be played at The Grange, meaning the school can get behind the girls to cheers them on.

Senior School Teams

Last week, the Year 7, 8 & 9 teams travelled to Winsford to compete in the Cheshire Schools’ Tournament.

Under 12s

The U12s team had a tough morning, playing some brilliant netball but not quite finding their usual rhythm. They drew with Wilmslow, had a convincing win over Queens, but lost their other three games in the rounds. Two of these by only one goal and the other by two goals. Just two more goals scored would have seen them into the finals but it was not to be. They competed well with the best in Cheshire and they will come back even stronger.

Under 13s

After winning their group convincingly beating Lymm 7-1, Fallibroome 7–4, Helsby 10–1, Wilmslow 7–4, Knutsford 7–2. This set up a semi-final against Upton, the runners up of the other section. The team stepped up their game for the semi-final to win 8 – 4 and secure a final spot against Kings Macclesfield. With a real determined attitude, they turned the ball over early to take the lead at half time. They continued to put their game plan into action and showed excellent team spirit to win the final by a huge 9-2; crowning them Cheshire Champions.

Under 14s

A brilliant start saw the U14s dominate in their group games. They beat Kings Macclesfield 5–2, Lymm 5–3, Kings Chester 16–2, drawing with Christleton  3–3 and beating Knutsford 12-0. They also topped their group. This set up a semi-final with Fallibroome. The team switched off for one minute in the first half and went three goals down quickly. They fought to bring it back but it was 7–8 to Fallibroome as the whistle went. They dusted off the disappointment and won the 3rd/4th play-off convincingly, 8–3, to finish third in Cheshire.
