The Grange School Rowing team once again shone on the national stage this weekend, bringing home two medals from the British Rowing Junior Championships, held in Nottingham.

During the time trials on Saturday, crews faced challenging conditions with two single scullers and one coxed quad making it through to compete in the next rounds on Sunday.

Lewis Gray raced in the boys J15 single sculls to finish an impressive 4th place in the B final out of 47 entries. In the Women’s J15 single, Mia Brown timed her finish perfectly to bring home the silver medal, just 0.80 of a second ahead of the bronze medallist from Cambridge ’99.

The boys J15 coxed quad of Paul Kenyon, Matthew Johnston, Ben Scawn, Omar Siddiqi and cox Antoine Moore added to the bronze medal they won at the National Schools’ Regatta, with another bronze behind Windsor Boys School and Trentham Rowing Club.

Our crews and their coaches will now enjoy a well-earned break from training over the Summer before pre-season training begins again in August.
