North Netball Champions

The U15 Netball team are North champions in the Sisters n Sport National Cup. 

The begun their cup run by beating Cardinal Langley convincingly. This set up a second-round match with Kings Chester their local rivals, it was a close game but they showed great composure and built up a steady lead. A tough game at Wirral Grammar followed but again the team showed their class and built up a gradual lead.

A North final against a strong Bury team followed and despite being 11-10 down after the first quarter they kept their composure. The defence adapted well to Bury’s dominant shooting combination with Emily Pugh and Alice Taylor both pulling off match winning interceptions. The team produced a solid second quarter to take the lead, followed by a close third quarter with the Grange taking the quarter by one goal. The girl's fitness and determination then shone through to win the fourth quarter and secure a 54 – 41 victory.

A National semi-final versus the winners of the Midlands competition will be next up with the chance to win a place at the finals day hosted in The Grange sports hall in March at stake.
