New Chair of Governors highlights importance of all-round education

We are pleased to welcome Trevor Brocklebank to the position of Chair of Governors.

Trevor joined the Board in January 2021 and serves on the Education Committee. Currently holding a portfolio of Non-Executive roles, including Chair of Marketing Cheshire and Vice-Chair of the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership. Trevor is also a Non-Executive Director at Workbuzz - a SAAS Employee Satisfaction Survey Provider.

Trevor has three children who currently attend the Grange, and as the school’s new Chair of Governors he is keen to help further develop the school and its mission to provide a holistic education for every child. “It is my immense privilege to become the Chair of Governors and I am absolutely committed to making The Grange the best school in the country, for students, for all members of staff and for parents.

“The key reason my wife, Sam, and I selected The Grange for our own children was for its all-round education. Whilst we wanted an academic school, education is far broader than that.

"We want our children to be fully prepared for their life ahead of them - confident, personable, kind, articulate, able to debate and challenge and with the self-confidence and self-esteem to deal with whatever opportunities and challenges they face in the future. The Grange has done a great job in achieving this for so many students and this will continue to be a key focus of mine as Chair of Governors.

"It has never been more important to ensure we provide our students with the very best, all round education we possibly can. The Governors and I are absolutely committed to working with Dr Earps and her team to achieve this.”
