The early years are key to a child's development and have a huge impact on the later years of education. Below are three reasons why The Grange Junior School can help your child grow from a young age.
Childhood is when the developing brain is at its most pliable, responsive to the influence of both environment and experience. Excellent teaching and learning from the age of 4 ensures that our students have tremendously strong literacy and numeracy skills, enabling outstanding educational outcomes as they grow older. It is no coincidence that our children’s developed academic abilities are, on average, 2.5 years above their actual age by the time they leave the Junior School.
One of the most influential factors for the successful development of children are positive and meaningful relationships with trusted adults. With a highly experienced and skilled staff team, our independent status means a ratio of one teaching adult to every 12 children throughout the whole school, allowing for tailored teaching and smaller than average class sizes in Key Stage 1.
Recognising the influence of environment and resources on educational progress, we provide a high-quality physical environment with modern, thoughtfully designed classrooms as well as a Sports Hall, Art Room, Music Studio, Science Laboratory and Design Workshop. These sit alongside excellent provision of the latest technologies as well as our well-maintained outdoor play spaces and woodland learning areas.
